CITIZENS COMPASS— A video has surfaced online capturing a suspected Area Boy prostrating for and paying homage to a popular musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate at a public function.

It is no longer news that the musician who hailed from the Fidipote Ruling House has declared his interest for the vacant stool of the Awujale stool of Awujale of Ijebuland in Ogun State.
Citizens Compass reported that Wasiu Ayinde is from the Fidipote Ruling House not minding the fact that it is the turn of the Fusengbuwa Royal Family to fill the vacant stool.
The video captured Ayinde dressed in a regalia with a spectacle holding a staff while standing in front of a fellow Yoruba singer who was singing the praise of K1 De Ultimate.
Interestingly, some boys were captured clearing the road for Ayinde as one of them was seen prostrating for him and simultaneously was shouting “Kabiyesi” (a Yoruba word meaning He who cannot be questioned).
To the admiration of many, the elated K1 De Ultimate carefully dipped his hand into his pocket, bringing out some banded bails of money which he handed over to the singer.
Citizens Compass reported that K1 De Ultimate in a letter dated December 3, 2025, and addressed to the Chairman of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Agunsebi Quarters, Ijebu-Ode, said that his interest was guided strictly by Ijebu customary law and the Ogun State Chieftaincy Laws.
In response to Wasiu Ayinde’s letter, the Family Head, Fusengbuwa Royal Family, Otunba Abdul Lateef Adebayo Owoyemi, in a letter dated Friday, December 4, 2025, acknowledged Ayinde’s letter.
However, the Family Head said the letter bore no contact address or phone number.
The response also advised Ayinde to identify his lineage with the Fusengbuwa Royal Family.
He detailed further instructions to the musician thus:

Oke Abiodun Adebanjo, had instructed the Fusengbuwas to convene a general meeting at its office and forward the names of the nominees for the vacant stool to the Local Government.
Citizens Compass reported that with the turn-by-turn arrangement, the Fusengbuwas, Fidipotes, Gbelegbuwas and Anikinayas are the recognised ruling houses in Ijubu-Ode.
On Sunday, sources in Ijebu-Ode hinted that so far, the Fusengbuwa Royal Family has shortlisted four members of the family who have made it to the semi-final stage of the Obaship process.
They were Otunbas; Abiodun Onanuga, Fatia Arowolo, Abimbola Onabanjo and Bode Onanuga with the final process to be completed by the Oracle, kingmakers, Awujale Interregnum Committee, Ogun State Government, and all other authorities.
The immediate past Awujale, Ọba Sikiru Kayọde Adetọna from the Anikinaiya Ruling House ascended the throne of his forefathers on April 2, 1960, joined his ancestors on July 13, 1925 and his demise automatically paved the way for the selection process of a new king.
According to the tradition, Fusengbuwa Ruling House is expected to produce the next monarch and all candidates that applied for the Obaship process have been screened and were being prepared for the next phase of the tradition when suddenly K1 De Ultimate from the Fidipote Ruling House indicated interest in the stool.
