CITIZENS COMPASS— A popular social media influencer, Omoba Abisoye Oshodi popularly known as Balogun Eko has opened a can of cankerworm concerning Fuji maestro, Wasiu Ayinde popularly known as K1 De Ultimate as regards the Awujale stool in Ijebuland.

Balogun Eko referred to the early days of Wasiu Ayinde and his journey to Ansardeen High School, Ijebu-Isiwo, Ogun State.

In the viral video in Yoruba Language, Omoba Abisoye recalled Wasiu Ayinde’s early days in Idumagbo and Isolo areas of Lagos.

Titled, “Another message to K1 Wasiu Ayinde—Bisoye Oshodi

#Awujale”, he raised many questions which were begging for answers.

According to him: Alhaji King Wasiu Ayinde Omogbolahan, if Sigidi (a Yoruba ritual figure of power) wants to be given a public disgrace, he would request to be taken to the river to bath, Yorubas usually say, ‘Alabosi aa l’owo, Alabosi aa ko’le, sugbon atubotan alabosi ko nii da’ (An hypocrite may have property, wealth and children but he may not end well). Your likes were mentioned by the late Fuji maestro, Alhaji Sikiru(Ayinde Barrister), who has described your true picture in some of his songs as one expects you to turn a new leaf.

As regards the Awujale stool, I know that ‘e fe fi ran oro ni’ (You want to use it to foment trouble).

Assuming Isolo people were not smart, you would have claimed Isolo as your origin just like you lied to late Kabiru Adelaja that you attended Ansardeen Grammar School whereas you didn’t attend this school for failure to pass the common entrance examination.

Your flair for music made you drop out of class two.

You claimed to be born in 1957 by Sadia Akeredolu. Could you mention where Sadia was born and who her father was?

I will want you to explain your relationship with Ilupeju-Ekiti in Ekiti State.

You claim that you were born in 1957 and it is assumed that you were enrolled in primary school in 1964, unfortunately some notable schools in Lagos Island like St Gregory, Methodist, St Finbers College, Baptist Academy and some unapproved schools could not admit you due to failure in the common entrance examination and that was why your mother took you to Ijebu-Isiwo to enrol you in Ansardeen High School which was created in 1972 before you were enrolled in 1974.

The fact remains that you dropped out of school while in class two to join Ayinde Barrister in music.

I am in touch with some of your neighbours in Idumagbo near NEPA and one of them was Aunty Iyabo whose mother was a dull baby dealer.

I was reliably informed that your step father hailed from Ijebu-Ode perhaps that was where you picked the name Anifowose.

The social media influencer also recalled the musician’s relationship with women and how one Lekan, Darosa’s son, led him to Ido-Oluwo.

The video ended by recounting how a popular figure in Lagos Island, Dr Wahab Dosunmu, secured employment for many youths but was unavailable to secure one for Wasiu for failure to present a certificate.

He queried why K1’s headed for court to challenge the process for selection of candidates to fill the vacant stool of Awujale. “The selection process has not been concluded and you have dragged people to court, is this a good precedent? Do not bring problems to Ijebuland.”

Citizens Compass reported that Wasiu Ayinde has sought an order of Interim Injunction listing the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Chairman, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Ogun State Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, the Secretary, Ijebu-Ode Local Government, the Chairman, Awujale Interregnum Administrative Council, and Chairman, Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Otunba Lateef Owoyemi as Respondents in the matter.

The motion, with Suit No Hc3/238/25 in the High Court of Ogun State, Ijebu-Ode Judicial Division, Holding at Ijebu-Ode, was dated December 16, 2025.
The Suit restrains the Respondents, either by themselves, their Privies, assigns, agents, or anyone acting on their behalf, from taking any step in the installation process of the next Awujale of Ijebuland pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit in this matter.

At press time, efforts to reach Wasiu Ayinde were unsuccessful.
