Boy with missing intestine dies in Lagos 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —Adebola Akin-Bright, the boy whose intestines got missing in the process of a surgery, has passed away.

It was gathered that the boy died on Tuesday evening.

A source close to the family of the deceased told our correspondent that he developed complications and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital where he was thereafter pronounced dead.

Recal that the Lagos State House of Assembly had earlier on Tuesday called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to direct the Ministry of Health to release funds for the overseas treatment of the boy.

The Assembly in a statement, said the boy was in critical condition that required him to be flown abroad for further medical treatment. 

The lawmakers also ordered the arrest of the medical doctor who performed the surgery for the boy. 

Efforts to get reaction from the hospital management were unsuccessful at press time.
