Bride suspends wedding plans few hours before church service

CITIZENS COMPASS —A wedding ceremony between a bride-to-be a bride Nelly Chepkoech and her partner, Amos, has been postponed.

The scheduled ceremony was to be held in Bomet County, Kenya on Saturday, December 9, 2023, but few hours before this, Kelly informed the officiating Pastor, Clement Chalulot of Kapsoyo AGC Church, that she would like a postponement.

According  to reports, unexpected development halted the entire wedding plan.

A member of the wedding committee shared the information on a WhatsApp group, stating, “OUR SCHEDULED WEDDING PLANNED FOR TOMORROW has been postponed until further notice. We will communicate with you, and we are sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding.”

While some committee members cited Nelly’s request for more time as the reason, others questioned whether she was the cause of the delay. Speculation has also arisen about the possibility of Nelly’s former lover returning, given her abrupt change of heart.

Members of the WhatsApp group were, however, unsatisfied with the reasons stated, questioning whether Nelly was the cause of the delay.

“Tell us why the wedding has been postponed. Let’s see if we can help our girl; it’s important for us to know if she is the cause of the postponement. I see you people keep mentioning Amos, Amos [like he is the cause]),” a member quizzed.

The reports indicate that Nelly was in a five-year relationship with her ex and had been dating Amos, the groom, for six months. The community is left in shock and curiosity as they await further clarification on the suddenly postponed wedding in Kenya.
