Don’t fuel tribal war, Ohanaeze tells MC Oluomo

… tells Igbos to be vigilant and on guard.”

CITIZENS COMPASS – THE apex sovio- cultural body for the Igbos, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has urged the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, to caution the Chairman, Lagos State Parks Management, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularlly known as MC Oluomo and his supporters from causing a tribal war between Yorubas and Igbos in Lagos State.

The Secretary-General of the group, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, made the call on Thursday, March 30, 2023, while reacting to the incessant fire outbreaks at Akere Spare Parts Market on Kirikiri Road, Olodi-Apapa in Ajegunle Balogun and Olowu spare parts markets within a space of three weeks describing this as an attack on Igbos.

Recall that Akere spare part market was razed three aboutvweeks ago followed by Balogun market on Wednesday, March 29 and that of Olowu the day after.

Isiguzoro in a statement said, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo, therefore, calls on Iba Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of the Yoruba nation to kindly use his revered office in bringing the situation to a halt.

“Already, it is becoming a Herculean task to hold Ndigbo back from retaliation in the face of the sustained “genocide and crimes against humanity” being perpetrated against Ndigbo in Lagos by some “APC thugs” under the command of MC Oluomo with the state government and security agencies watching the “horror movie”.

We are, however, consoled by the patriotic position of Afenifere under the valiant leadership of Pa Ayo Adebanjo and urge Ndigbo to remain law-abiding but “vigilant and on guard.”
