CITIZENS COMPASS— An aircraft operated by Enugu Air on Thursday, skidded off the runway at Benin Airport, Edo State, during landing thereby endangering the lives of about 100 passengers onboard.
The airline confirmed the incident in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to the statement, all passengers and crew members safely disembarked from the aircraft, “with no injuries or casualties recorded”.
“An assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the occurrence is currently underway,” the airline said.
“As a result, there may be temporary adjustments to some flight schedules. Passengers affected by any changes will be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance.”
