CITIZENS COMPASS— A popular supermarket, Justrite Superstore, located at No. 116, Akowonjo Road, Jimoh Bus Stop, Egbeda-Akowonjo, Lagos, was partly engulfed in flames on Thursday.
However, no casualty was recorded as the officials of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service arrived at the scene in due time.
Confirming the fire outbreak, Controller General of the Agency, Margaret Adeseye, said Abesan and Agege fire stations responded to the fire outbreak.
According to Adeseye: The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has extinguished a fire outbreak at Justrite Superstore, located at No. 116, Akowonjo Road, Jimoh Bus Stop, Egbeda-Akowonjo, Lagos.
The incident involves the second floor of the commercial building, housing the electronics section of the store. Upon arrival, firefighters swiftly deployed firefighting equipment and commenced coordinated operations to contain the fire, prevent its spread to adjoining sections of the building, and safeguard lives, property and environment.
