… Family reacts
CITIZENS COMPASS— A flier for fund raising for the immediate family of the late Gospel singer, Olayemi Bolaji popularly known as Toluwasings, has resurfaced online.
It reads: In loving memory of Minister Bayonile (Toluwasings)
Support his wife & children
As we honour the life and memory of our dear friend, we are raising funds to support the wife and children he leaves behind.
Your kindness will help provide care, comfort, and practical support during this difficult time.
Please give what you can.
Every contribution matters.
Forever in our hearts.
However, the Toluwasings’ family on Friday, took to the social media handles of their son to alert fans and friends that the flier was fake.
The flier captured Toluwanisings’ photograph and requested for financial contributions from members of the public to support the immediate family of the departed singer.
The family said the flier was not an authorised fundraising initiative.
Displaying the flier, the word, “Disclaimer!!! was conspicuously written on it.
The flier was accompanied with a sentence, “This is not true please. Please let’s report this page massively. If at all something like this will come up it will be from this page. Thank you,”
Citizens Compass reported that Toluwanisings died on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.
