FG to begin rehabilitation of Sango-Ota Road 

THE FEDERAL Government of Nigeria has promised to commence rehabilitation works on some bad portions of the Sango axis of Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The development was based on the intervention of the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola.

The minister gave the assurance during a teleconference between his team and Governor Abiodun, on Tuesday.

The governor’s chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin, in a statement, said areas that require immediate attention are the failed portions around Sango-Otta on the Lagos – Abeokuta Expressway and the Otta – Idiroko Road.

Present at the meeting were governor Abiodun were the minister; Managing Director, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engr. Nurudeen Rafindadi; Director of Federal Highway (Construction and Rehabilitation), Engr Folorunso Esan; among others.

These Federal Roads have become a nightmare for motorists and commuters.

Governor Abiodun reassured the citizens of the state that his administration will leave no stone unturned in his commitment to build and upgrade public infrastructure across the state.
