CITIZENS COMPASS – FIRE on Tuesday, gutted the popular Bodija plank market in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Goods worth Billions of Naira were destroyed during the inferno that occurred in the evening after many of the traders had called it a day.
The cause of the inferno could not be ascertained at press time but it was gathered that it started from one of the stalls.
However, a combined team of fire fighters from both the federal and state levels were on ground trying to fight tbe fire.
The fire was said to be greeted with a downpour across the area but the fire fighters were undetterd.
Rescue operation was ongoing at press time.
