I survived betrayal, KWAM 1 ex- wife speaks

CITIZENS COMPASS— Emmanuella Ropo, wife of popular Fuji singer, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has narrated how she survived betrayal in the hands of the closest people in her life.

She narrated how she passed through the storm on her journey to success.

She shared her experience on her Instagram page.

“I’ve been through the fire and I’m still here. That’s the peace I carry today, but getting here wasn’t easy. Even the closest people in my life, the ones I thought would protect me, turned out to be the ones who betrayed me,” she wrote.

Emmanuella explained that the painful experience almost broke her spirit, but she eventually rediscovered her worth and set new boundaries. She vowed never to compromise her peace again.

The post quickly stirred reactions online. Actress Lola Magret prayed for her, saying: “May you continue to enjoy that peace, nothing like finding peace.” Another admirer, Hajia Funmi Ibrahim, called it “the most beautiful and inspiring post I came across today. God bless your heart.”

Some supporters also hinted at her past struggles. One user wrote: “Hmm… you can only imagine what previous wife went through, from a man who has turned women to toy.” Another added: “The only thing relevant about Wasiu is his songs. Thank goodness you left. People don’t understand women are fragile and precious.”

Others encouraged her new path. “Yes, inner peace. At that stage you have conquered. When love falls, brush yourself and move. That is called self-worth,” one fan commented. Another teased: “You are too pretty to have lowered your standard in the first place. Anyways, nothing spoil, my sister.”

The message has left many guessing whether her words were aimed at her marriage or past friendships. What remains clear is her resolve: peace first, above everything.

Emmanuela’s post came barely ten days that KWAM 1 attempted to disrupt flight activities at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja.

The official singer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), was later announced as an Ambassador for peace by the Federal Government l.
