IGP lays foundation of police quarters in Abuja

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– THE Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba,on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, laid the foundation of Police Officers Quarters at Zone 6, Wuse, Abuja.

The project will occupy 4.5 hectares piece of land according to a statement by Force spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi who said the IGP was accompanied by members of the Force Management Team, 

The ground breaking was for construction of 50 terraces bungalows, a clubhouse, and a state-of-the-art sports complex, amongst others.

The spokesperson said the event marked the commencement of construction works at the project site and was attended by senior police officers and other dignitaries.

Adejobi said, “The project which is being coordinated and managed by Nigeria Police Force under the auspices of the Nigeria Police Properties Limited, will cover an area of 4.5 hectares and comprise 50 terraces of bungalows, a clubhouse, and a state-of-the-art sports complex amongst others with modern facilities and structures.

The Inspector-General of Police emphasized his commitment to the welfare of Police Officers during his remarks at the occasion. He expressed the desire of his administration to create a Police Force with suitable accommodations for its personnel and noted that various large-scale barrack projects are currently underway and will continue to be implemented under his leadership.”
