Lagos NSCDC intercepts gallons laden with PMS in Badagry

THE Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command has intercepted 48 sacks and 30 litres gallons laden with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) in Badagry area of Lagos.

This took place during an operation at about 1.57am on Tuesday.

The items were impounded around Mangoro Creek, along Iya’fin Waterways inward Republic of Benin.

The operation was carried out by the Marine and Anti – vandal team of the Badagry Division, who was on routine surveillance and patrol to the area.

The recovered PMS were in 48 sacks and thirty six thirty litres kegs just as the suspected vandals numbering seven, were said to have taken to their heels on sighting the team.

NSCDC Lagos State Commandant Eweka Okoro has ordered the Anti – vandal unit of the Command to move the seizure to the command headquarters, in Alausa, Ikeja, in a bid, to carry out further intelligent investigation.

Also, he directed that the security of lives, property and the protection of oil pipelines in the Badagry Division and other areas, in the state be beefed up immediately.
