LASEMA recovers body of fun seeker

...concludes search and rescue

CITIZENS COMPASS– THE Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu has says the agency has recovered the body of the second fun seeker who drowned at the Barracuda beach, Abraham Adesanya, Ajah.

This is just as search and rescue operation was concluded on Day 3, Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Recall that the incident occured on the Boxing Day when the late fun seekers were making attempts to rescue another fun seeker from being swept away at the beach unfortunately they ended up being victims.

According to the Permanent Secretary, “The body of the second adult male that went missing on Christmas Day was recovered this afternoon.

“It took the combined effort of LASEMA operations teams and a team of local divers to complete the recovery operations.

“Hence, the remains of the deceased have been dispatched for delivery to the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit (SEHMU).
