Council immortalises female lawyer

CITIZENS COMPASS -THE Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area, John Campos, has directed that one of the streets in the area be named after the slain 41-year-old lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem who was shot dead on Christmas Day.

He disclosed this when he visited the bereaved family on Wednesday.

The widower, Gbenga Raheem, while speaking to sympathisers, appealed for calm, saying nothing would bring back his wife.

The late Raheem was shot at a closed range by an Assistant Superintendent of Police on Christmas Day while trying to make a U-turn at the Ajah Bridge.
