Mohbad: Naira Marley, Sam Larry gets N20m bail 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —As investigations continues into the death of Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command on Friday, November 17, 2023, released the CEO of Mailian record label, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley and Balogun Samson popularly known as Sam Larry. 

Both were released after they met their bail conditions.

Spokesperson of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, disclosed this on Friday in a statement. 

He said, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”

He said the suspects have perfected their bail conditions granted by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court.

The magistrate, on Monday, November 6 granted the duo bail in the sum of N20m with three responsible sureties.

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” the court ruled.

They were arrested as part of an investigation into Mohbad’s death after videos of assault against the late singer surfaced online.
