Ohanaeze advises Igbos in Lagos to relocate investments to South East

CITIZENS COMPASS —Following unwarranted demolition of buildings allegedly targeted at Igbos residing in Lagos State, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has urged them to consider relocating their investments to the Southeast.

Ohanaeze asked them to consider cities like Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha which have immense potential for growth.

A statement by the factional Secretary-General of Ohanaeze, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, reads:“Ohanaeze Ndigbo encourages Igbos to seize this moment as an opportunity to reassess their investments and consider relocating them to the Eastern region.

Our vibrant cities, such as Aba, Abakiliki, and Onitsha, offer immense potential for growth and development. By investing and building international markets in these areas, we can create prosperous economic hubs that will benefit not only the Igbo people but also contribute to the overall development of Nigeria.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls on all Igbo residents in Lagos to come together and support one another during this challenging period. Together, we can navigate through these difficulties and forge a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.”
