One Way: Sanwo-Olu goes tough on Okada riders, arrest soldiers 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has ordered the arrest of five recalcitrant commercial motorcycle operators popularly known as Okada riders for riding against traffic along Lagos – Badagry expressway.

This occurred when the Governor was on an official assignment in his convoy. 

The videos ftom the scene was captured in a trending video on Tuesday when the governor stopped his convoy and went after the riders. 

On sighting the governor, the okada riders were seen abandoning their motorcycles and passengers to evade arrest but five of them were not so lucky as they were apprehended by the convoy.

A social media post reads, “This Morning: Lawless Okada riders plying one-way along Lagos-Badagry Expressway left their motorcycles and passengers upon sighting the convoy of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. One of the offenders – a lance corporal in the Army – was arrested with his bike. 

“Hey madam, you are a graduate and you allowed them to take you on a one-way… if you fall and you die, they will say the government killed you. What a shame,” Sanwo-Olu said in another video shared by his media aide Wale Ajetunmobi.
