Oto-Awori Council Chair, Abiodun receives outstanding awards in New Year
CITIZENS COMPASS—The Council Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Kareem Azeez Abiodun, has received two prestigious awards during the first working day interdenominational prayers of the month at the Council secretariat.
The first award was from Grassroots News, recognising him as the Outstanding Chairman, just 100 days into office, for his remarkable achievements in delivering social amenities and setting a new standard for local governance in Nigeria.
The award recognizes his efforts in infrastructure development, public health and education initiatives. His notable projects include the construction of a public toilet at Shibiri, a new legislative building, a 12-classroom storey building, construction of roads and several new roads.
Kareem’s focus on serving the community has inspired others and his work serves as a model for leaders to prioritize the needs of the people. His speed and agility in delivering these projects have been phenomenal.
In the same ceremony, Council Manager Mr. Salam Adeyemi presented another award to Abiodun on behalf of the Management and staff, recognizing his unrelenting support for the Council’s staff.
The dual recognition highlights Abiodun’s commitment to both community development and staff welfare, making him a standout leader in local governance.
