Petrol sells at N650/littre in Lagos

…As long queues resurface

 

CITIZENS COMPASS- Many residents of Largos State on Friday, lamented hardship as Premium Motor Spirit otherwise called petrol was sold at N650 per liter at some gas stations even as long queues were experienced in some areas.

Some of our respondents said the long queues were noticed beginning from the early hours.

Our Correspondents who were in Ajahand Mainland areas said most gas stations lamented scarcity of the product.

It was observed that most gas stations rom Bogije down to Lekki did not dispense the product.

Same applies to Ikorodu Road where long queues were the order of the day.

Some commercial drivers who spoke with our Correspondents said they bought the product at N650 per liter after quiung for hours.

A commercial driver, Tunde Apena who plies Mile 12 to Oyingbo said he spent the night at a gas station in Maryland before he could get the product at N650. He said, “My vehicle would be off the road if I did not buy it at that price. This will automatically result in increase in fares,” he said. 

Our Correspondent who was in Badagry area said the product was scarce from Roundabout down to Agbara as many commuters had to reschedule their movement.

A resident of Badagry, Pa Adamu Akinbamiyo said he had to park his car somewhere due to scarcity of the product. “I left home with the remaining fuel in my car thinking I would refill my tank unfortunately, most fillling stations around here did not dispense the production, hence, I parked my car with a guard.”

The long queues resulted in gridlock in some parts of Lagos.
