CITIZENS COMPASS— Popular broadcaster in Ibadan, Oyo State, Oriyomi Hamzat, on Saturday, declared his ambition for the Gubernatorial race in the State.
The Founder of Agidigbo FM declared his ambition under the Accord Party during the 2027 general elections.
The declaration was made at Obafemi Awolowo (Liberty) Stadium, Ring Road, Ibadan where a mammoth crowd besieged the stadium.
In a public declaration, he said, “I am publicly declaring today that in 2027.
I will not campaign for anyone or mobilise crowds for anyone.
“I will contest in the gubernatorial election under the Accord Party.”
Citizens Compass reported that the broadcaster was arrested alongside Naomi, the former queen of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan, the Ojaja 11, following the stampede of some children during a fiesta in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Both later regained their freedom after some weeks at the correctional center.
