Security team raids home of former governor over attempted coup against Tinubu 

 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS— A special security team has reportedly raided the home of the former governor of Bayelsa State,

Timipre Sylva, said to be allegedly fingered in a recent attempted coup d’etat to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The suspect was the minister of state for Petroleum Resources between 2019 and 2023.

Also, Sylva served as governor of Bayelsa State between 2007 to 2012.

He was said to be under investigation for his alleged role in the attempted coup d’etat to overthrow Tinubu.

Investigation at the disposal of Citizens Compass revealed that the former governor had fled Nigeria to Senegal to take cover in a foreign country, Argentina.

On noticing that the attempted coup was unsuccessful, he was said to have fled the country through the creeks.

The Military was said to have raided Sylva’s home in the Maitama area of Abuja.

Some incriminating evidence was said to be recovered from the home.
