Sesan Daini offers skill acquisition to 300 residents in Igbogbo-Baiyeku 

CITIZENS COMPASS – NO fewer than 300 residents of Igbogbo-Baiyeku in Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, have benefited from free skill acquisition programme in the LCDA.

The three weeks intensive training is courtesy of the Council chairman, Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Olusesan Daini. 

It took place at the palace of the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom venue of the graduation on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. 

According to the Council chairman, the trainees have passed through a screening exercise after submitting application. 

He said this would prepare and position them for future entrepreneurship as they were trained in different skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, skin care, catering, home essentials, make-up and tying of headtie amongst other skills.

The training according to Daini, was in collaboration with New Era Project and Sunglow Business Concept. 

Speaking at the occasion, Daini commended the indigenes and residents of the community for coming out enmasse to benefit from the three weeks skill training.

Represented by his vice, Alhaji Maja Okedina, he thanked the New Era Project and Sunglow Business Concept for their collaboration in the course of the programme saying, “I sincerely commend the efforts of our collaborators and instructors for their commitment and hard work.

“I specially thank my royal father, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Emugoriade 1and Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom for giving us the space to run the programme for three weeks.” He said. 

He said this is not the end of good work in the community as his administration is committed to bringing growth and development to the LCDA.

One of the trainees simply identified as Kemi, from the Tailoring Department expressed gratitude, stating that it was a rare privilege to acquire the skill at no costs,“I humbly thank the chairman for this privilege to learn and be self reliant. 

“I will like to appreciate the monarch for his love and support during training.” 

I am a grateful to the chairman and his team. “She said. 

Present at the occasion were the  Adeboruwa Oba in Council and eminent sons and daughters of Igbogbo Kingdom.
