So Safe arrests suspected kidnapers, rescues victim

CITIZENS COMPASS– OPERATIVES of So-Safe Corps Patrol Team has arrested two suspected kidnappers and rescued a victim in Owode-Egba Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The security agency said the arrest was made sequel to the distress calls on January 20, 2023 that a cattle rearer, identified as Oseni was being kidnapped at Olorunda-Lukosi, Iro, the previous day at about 2200hrs, whilst on duty.

To this end the state Commander of So-Safe Corps under the leadership of Dr Soji Ganzallo in a statement issued through the office of the Director of information and Public Relations of the Corps, Moruf Yusuf said before the operatives arrived the scene, the suspects had dispossessed the victim of his sum of N130,000 with his motorcycle’s documents.

Ganzallo noted that along the line, the suspected Kidnappers demanded N4,000,000 ransom from the victim’s family which they agreed to..

However, the So-Safe Corps Patrol Team timely response led to the arrest of two suspected Kidnappers, while others are at large, despite the intensive combing of the location.

Ganzallo further gave the suspects’ names as Mohammed Lawale, 20, of Sharagi Area of Karaoke and Sarafa Asimiu, 25, of Oke-Aje, Ibadan, resident of Amusa Yusuf House.

Ganzallo said the victim was rescued unhurt and the suspects handed over to the Nigeria Police, Iro Post .
