Tears, tributes as TB Joshua goes home

TEARS flowed freely on Friday, while tributes continued to pour in Egbe area of Lagos State,  as the remains of the Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, popularly known as  T. B. Joshua, was laid to rest .

The body of Prophet T. B. Joshua, who died on Saturday 5th of June 2021, in Lagos, was interred at the church premises after a week-long programme.

Notable personalities in attendance were, the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Mr. Anofiu Elegushi, Ondo State governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the wife of Ooni of Ife, Olori Silekunola Naomi Ogunwusi, representatives of the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and diplomats, amongst others.

Born on June 12, 1963, Prophet T. B. Joshua died six days to his 58th birthday.

Married to Evelyn, the father of three hailed from Arigidi Akoko, in Ondo State.

The church was founded in 1987 and currently hosts 15,000 worshippers per gathering with branches in Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Greece.
