Trader dies of robbery attack in Lagos 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS—A trader in Lagos Island identified as Mr Chigozie Ewulum, has reportedly lost his life after he was robbed around Idumota area of the state.

The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday after he closed from the day’s work.

He was thereafter dispossessed of his personal effects by the robbers.

Fortunately, a Good Samaritan who was driving by found him in the pool of his own blood and rushed him to a nearby hospital.

He was found on Martins Street by Elephant House at about 10 p.m and was taken to Odan General Hospital on Broad Street at about 11 p.m.

In a social media post by the Good Samaritan, the medical team commenced treatment on the victim after due process was followed.

According to the social media user, “The medical team and the Good Samaritan who found him did their best for Mr. Chigozie Ewulum but at 11 am on Sunday morning, he passed on.

“He gave his name as mentioned above and said that he was a businessman in the Idumota market and he had just closed when he got robbed. There was no further or detailed means of identification and his phone was also perhaps robbed, which would have been helpful to contact his family or friends.

“His remains are still at the Odan General Hospital on Broad street. Help is needed and the general public is being asked to help locate his family. Anyone who could identify him via this photo of his corpse, who also knows his family, should contact Odan General Hospital on Broad Street or call this phone number 08075659876.

“He fought for his life but lost the battle. May his soul rest in peace as we look for his family to claim his remains from the above mentioned hospital.”
