US gives update on Venezuela attack

CITIZENS COMPASS— The United States of America (USA), said she would oversee the activities of Venezuela whose President, Nicolas Maduro, and wife were captured over the weekend.

The USA through her President, Donald Trump, said she would oversee the activities until the country is safe to ensure judicious transition.

Trump spoke after the US strikes led to the capture of Nicolas Maduro and wife, Cilia Flores.

Speaking in a worldwide broadcast over the weekend, he said that the US oil companies would also fix Venezuela’s “broken infrastructure” and “start making money for the country”,

The US launched strikes on Venezuela on Saturday morning in which Maduro and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores, were captured by US forces and removed from the country.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has ordered that Venezuelan Vice President, Delcy Rodriguez, acts in the capacity of the President.

She described the capture as “kidnapping”.

Maduro and wife were said to be flown to the US and were charged for conspiracy to commit narco-terrorism and import cocaine, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, and conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the US.

A series of videos from Venezuela captured many residents rejoicing.

Some of the videos also captured some parts of Venezuela sacked with property razed.
