CITIZENS COMPASS— Former Briton-Nigeria boxing legend, Anthony Joshua, has narrated what led to the tragic accident that claimed the lives of his two friends, Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele.
Citizens Compass reported that the autocrash occurred on Monday, around Makun, near Sagamu, Ogun State axis, along Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
Anthony Joshua and the driver of the Lexus SUV vehicle survived minor injuries.
Joshua was said to have left the hospital for the United Kingdom (UK) while the driver had been charged to court and the bodies flown to the UK for burial.
The boxing legend over the weekend, released a video to dismiss brake failure as the cause of the autocrash as well as what led to the death of his friends.
Anthony Joshua threatened to file a suit against the driver.
According to Anthony Joshua: That driver was lying, the brakes didn’t fail at all. He was trying to evade responsibility for his dangerous driving.
I’ve decided to sue that driver, if it weren’t for his blind speeding, my friends wouldn’t have died at all.
I witnessed with my own eyes that the Lexus we were trusted in suddenly accelerated on the highway and crashed into a truck by the roadside at 125 miles per hour.
The two people closest to me never stood up again on the spot, they are my teammates, my brothers, I’ll watch them fall in despair and I couldn’t erase the words I played back in my head. Put you in the back row, you’ll block the rearview mirror and that driver had noticed a problem or visibility before the accident. Since he knew it, why didn’t he slow down? Why did he take that risk?
So, I have to file a lawsuit. I will use evidence to dismantle that excuse of brake failure leaving no place for anyone who tries to shirk responsibility by using mechanical failure.
I’ll use the law to rip out that brake failure excuse and give my brother an answer.
