Wife of late MKO Abiola dies 

CITIZENS COMPASS—Doyin Abiola, former Managing Director of Concord Newspapers and wife of the late politician, Mudashiru Kashimawo Abiola (MKO) Abiola, is dead.

She died at the age of 82.

MKO Abiola was the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

She reportedly died at 9.15 p.m yesterday after an illness.

The former managing director and publisher of National Concord was the first Nigerian woman to be an editor of a Nigerian daily newspaper.

At press time, the Abiola family is yet to issue an official statement.
