Yoruba Indigenes Foundation commiserates with Olubadan family 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS —The President of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), Dr Olumide Aderibole, has commiserated with the family the late Oba Olalekan Balogun, the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land.

The Foundation expressed shock at the passing unto glory of the monarch. 

In a press statement signed by Mr Sanjo Olawuyi, the Director of Communications and Strategies of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF). The YIF President said “the two years reign of the late Olubadan is known with landmark achievements, that go beyond his traditional office”

“During his reign as the Olubadan, the historic mega city of Ibadan witnessed peace and broad based prosperity.

Over the years, the late Olubadan acquired numerous wealth of experience from many companies in Nigeria and Overseas. 

“He judiciously made use of the wealth of experience in the daily running of the affairs of the ancient city of Ibadan.

“Late Oba Balogun, a renowned technocrat, erudite scholar, political gugernault, business tycoon, author and philanthropist, went the extra mile in mobilizing and motivating prominent sons and daughters of Ibadan land, to contribute meaningfully towards the growth and development of Ibadan land.

“The late Olubadan, being a board member in Oil and Gas, trading, agricultural and tourism sectors. These made him live  positively. Cumulatively, he was respected in the corporate world, appreciated in politics and regarded in the business world.”
