Yoruba Indigenes Foundation kicks against banditry as Nigeria celebrates 65 years

CITIZENS COMPASS--As Nigeria celebrates her 65 years of independence from colonial masters, the Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF) Worldwide has kicked against banditry in Nigeria particularly the Yorubaland.
The Foundation made references to the recent attacks in Kwara State particularly Oke-Ode Ifelodun local government area where 11 forest guards were sent to their early graves.
YIF President, Dr Olumide Aderibole, in a statement urged Nigerians to have a positive reflection and seek for the good of the nation.
He called on political office holders to renew their aspirations for national unity and progress of the nation.
The statement called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security operatives to curb the menace of bandits across the nation such that Nigerians enjoy the peace and tranquility they deserve.
“The President of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF), Dr Olumide Aderibole, celebrates with Nigerians and felicitates with Yorubas at home and abroad, on the occasion of the 65th Independent anniversary of Nigeria.
“In a News Release signed Mr Sanjo Olawuyi, the Director of Communications and Strategies of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF). Dr Aderibole said “this year’s independent anniversary of Nigeria is a moment of reflective thinking, on where the nation is coming from and to lucidly foresee, where the country is leading to, most especially, as the affairs of this country is being directed by an amiable and well respected son of Yoruba land”.
“We Yorubas have no choice than to value, respect, regard, tolerate, eulogise and celebrate our tribal men and women in the position of authority.
“Let us value what we have. It is a thing of joy that at this moment, the Yoruba race is not struggling for national relevance. This is a call for caution not to contribute to pulling down our leaders.
“Our prayers and good thinking for Yoruba land is pertinent, imperative and expedient.”
