Buhari gets state burial in home town

 

CITIZENS COMPASS–The final journey of former President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, was completed on Tuesday as his body was laid to rest in his hometown Daura, Katsina State. He was buried in the Muslim way with dignitaries across the country in attendance.

Citizens Compass reported that Buhari died in a London clinic, United Kingdom, on Sunday.

He was aged 82.

His body was received by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport in Katsina at about 1.30p.m.

The Vice President, Vice President Kashim Shettima, led a delegation to London to repatriate Buhari’s body to Nigeria for burial.
