CITIZENS COMPASS— A lady identified as Bidemi Omole has reportedly died in her boyfriend’s house during a stop-over to a church vigil in Osun State.
The tragic incident occurred under mysterious circumstances on Friday in Oke-Esa, Esa-Oke community area of the State.
Sources said Bidemi, who usually attended Friday night vigils, diverted to the residence of her boyfriend, identified simply as Yinka, in the area. Not long after her arrival, she suddenly fell ill and collapsed at about 9:30 pm.
The development sparked panic in the neighbourhood as residents trooped to the scene after hearing cries for help. A neighbour, Taye, said the deceased died shortly after getting to the house.
Confirming the incident, Osun Police Command spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, said the matter was reported on Saturday and that the boyfriend had been arrested.
The sudden twist — from a supposed night of worship to a tragic end in her lover’s house — has left the community unsettled, with many awaiting the outcome of the police investigation.
