CITIZENS COMPASS— Popular Gospel singer, Mrs Deborah Adebola Fasonyin, on Monday, dispelled her death rumour circulating on social media.

The singer, notable for a Christmas song in Yoruba Language, “Odun n lo s’opin,” was rumoured to have died but the octogenarian took to social media to debunk this.

“Mama Fasoyin” as she is fondly called gained prominence as a lead vocalist with the Good Women Choir of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) which released an album where she prominently featured.

According to a video that dispelled her death rumour, she said: Great day to you everybody, I am Mrs E.A. Fasonyin, Good Women choir, CAC Odun n lo s’opin.

I’m happy to tell you that I’m hale and hearty and those words you have seen on Facebook are fake and I know that I will finish strong and healthy with supernatural sound health and I will go to my father’s in peace: not in sickness, not in pain and I will die at a good old age just like my father, Abraham. Thank you very much and thank you for your love. Bye.
