CITIZENS COMPASS— As the race to fill the vacant stool of the Awujale of Ijebuland in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, is put uphold, a prince from Anikinaiya Ruling House, Olawunmi Samuel, yesterday, cried out over what he described as an attempted assassination over his life.
Omo’ba Anikinaiya took to his official Facebook page alleging that some people were trailing him for his involvement in the process to fill the vacant stool.
Historically, the Anikinaiya Ruling House produced the immediate past Awujale who joined his ancestors in July 2025.
Omo’ba Anikinaiya was notable for exposing false historical claims in Ijebuland.
According to the post: Some individuals attempted to kidnap and assassinate me and my family, bringing two vehicles, one with registration number LND535JM, to my home on Thursday 19th March, 2026, a public holiday.
They are affiliated with a Nigerian security agency notorious for covering up highly placed criminals involved in:

The likely husband of the car’s owner, one MR. BADEJO, refused to state his mission, office, or reason for bringing two vehicles loaded with cultists and ammunition to my home on a public holiday, without prior notice or familiarity, or dealings. He dodged each car by two sides of the fence, calling me to come out.

This is the 3rd attempt to silence me and my family over very straight traditional and historical matters. The criminals and their clients will continue to fail and be exposed. I will not stop exposing false historical claims, regardless of the status of those involved – be it Obas, Otunbas, Politicians or Government agencies. I am your customer; the market (false claims) you buy, you must pay for it by admitting the truth of your fraudulent ingenuities.
