Says “I have no hidden agenda”

CITIZENS COMPASS—The Council Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, on Thursday, announced his personal mobile number to the public, saying he has no hidden agenda.

Aroyewun, popularly known as HOA, said that the popular area where he usually plays indoor games in the evenings remains unchanged.

He was speaking as a radio guest on IKD 106.1FM, as monitored by Citizens Compass.

The programme was anchored by Oluwafemi Oyesola.

He rolled out his personal mobile number as 08055181838, calling on residents to contact him with useful information on how his administration could scale through.

HOA said he, his vice, councillors and other key office holders within the council have earlier rolled out their mobile phone numbers to ensure good representation of IBLCDA.

Citizens Compass reports that the Council Chairman is currently celebrating his 365 days in office with landmark achievements to show for it.

On some of his notable achievements, he mentioned the ground breaking of Smart Primary School, in Zumratul Islamiyyah Grammar School, Igbogbo.

He said when completed, it will be the first of its kind.

Citizens Compass reported that the ground breaking event was held on Monday.

“We laid the foundation of the first primary school in the area.”

Greatest joy

Speaking about his greatest joy as the Council Chairman of IBLCDA, Aroyewun recalled when some elders within the council had to settle their differences in a bid to ensure that the current administration scales through.

The elated council chairman said, “My greatest joy is that some elders settled the differences among them all for my sake.”

On the journey so far, he said, “I didn’t know that governance would be this easy for my administration. This is possible because I am surrounded by good people. These are people who are not bothered about their personal interests but how to better the lots of our people. The achievements are not recorded because of the support of my team.”

He promises to record more achievements as he progresses in this administration.

Aroyewun said his administration would focus on culture, education, and youth empowerment to mention but a few.

“In my bid to encourage local production, my pairs of shoes are sourced locally in order to encourage the youths and aid development,”

In conclusion, he appreciated the good people of IBLCDA for their support, urging them to continue to embrace peace. “Thanks to residents for the past one year; thanks for your love for this administration. Continue to live peaceably in the area of security.”

He urged homeowners not to let out rooms to bandits. Aroyewun assured residents that privileged information would not be divulged.

The Council Chairman was accompanied by his team members, including his vice, Barr. Ade Ayeni.
