CITIZENS COMPASS—Mrs Adeola Olufunke Aremu, the widow of the late revolutionary leader, Abiodun Fidelista Aremu popularly known as Aremson, has appealed to the Ogun State Government and Prince Dapo Abiodun to fix the bad road leading to their house in Ifo area of the State.

She urged the government to fix the road before the burial of the late revolutionary leader.

The widow made the appeal over the weekend when members of the Lagos State branch of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), paid a condolence visit to the house.

The Lagos CDHR team was led by its Chairman, Comrade Wale Ojo on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The condolence visit was well appreciated by the widow.

Speaking, Comrade Ojo urged the Aremus to keep the fire burning with the aluta spirit which was evidenced in the family.

Abiodun Aremu’s body would be interred on Thursday, October 23, 2025.

The widow said fixing of the road will ease movement for those attending the burial and the eventual benefit of the people.

Responding, Comrade Ojo promised to escalate the appeal to appropriate quarters as he immediately put a call across to an Ogun-based activist, Comrade Bankole Solomon, who promised to engage the Chief-Of-Staff to Ogun State Governor over the widow’s appeal.

Meanwhile, a condolence register in honour of the departed comrade has since been opened.
