CITIZENS COMPASS— The National Chairman of the Accord Party, Prof. Christopher Imumolen, on Thursday, withdrew his support for Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
Imumolen threw his weight behind the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji.

Imumolen made the announcement about his defection in Osogbo, at the APC Osun State mega rally.
A video of the declaration captured Imumolen removing the Accord Part Yellow cap from his head and replacing it with that of APC as he announced the withdrawal of his support for the incumbent governor.
He said the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) had resolved to support Oyebamiji.
“All our members are enjoined to vote for AMBO and the APC in Saturday’s election,” he said.
In thesame vein, the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma, expressed assurance that his party would emerge victorious on Saturday.
“Vote AMBO, vote prosperity, vote Osun for the state to be prosperous. We 31 state governors are in the state in solidarity and to welcome the state to the fold of the progressives,” he said.
“The party is already on the verge of victory. Vote on Saturday and don’t be intimidated by their waves of violence,” he added.
Meanwhile, The leadership of Accord Party in Osun State has distanced itself from Imumolen’s declaration insisting that Adeleke remains Accord Party’s candidate for the election.
