…Visits Yoruba Nation’s agitator, Igboho
CITIZENS COMPASS—President of Yoruba Indigenes Foundation (YIF) Worldwide, Dr Olumide Aderibole Philip, has promised to mobilise over 40 million Yorubas to attend the Yoruba Indigenes World Day 2026 holding in New York, United States of America (USA).
Aderibole said about 5,000 of the figure would be physically present at the event while the remaining would join the live streaming of the event.
The YIF leader said plans were in top gear to achieve this.
To this effect, he has initiated courtesy visits to some illustrious sons and daughters of Yorubaland informing them. about the New York event.
Yesterday, Aderibole and his team visited the Yoruba Nation’s agitator, Oloye Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, to discuss sundry issues bothering Yorubaland and invite him to the Yoruba Indigenes World Day 2026.
The event billed for Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15, 2026, will be held in New York, United States of America (USA).
The meeting between Dr Aderibole and Oloye Adeyemo was held in his Ibadan residence, Oyo State over the weekend.
During the meeting, Igboho expressed readiness to be part of the Yoruba Indigenes World Day 2026 calling for the unity of Yoruba sons and daughters both at home and abroad.
He urged YIF to keep the flag flying in its pursuit to make Yorubaland great.
Speaking with Citizens Compass shortly after the event, Aderibole said: The meeting centered on security issues in Yorubaland and applauded Igboho for standing tall among his peers.
According to the YIF leader: My meeting with Oloye Adeyemo was to appreciate him for the security aspect of Yorubaland that he took upon himself over the years.
This really shows that he can do more with the support of the southwest governors and other well-meaning Nigerians particularly Yorubas.
We are also using this opportunity to welcome him back to Nigeria after he was pardoned by the Federal Government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Our main purpose of visiting him was to appreciate him more and inform him of our intention to honour him globally in the United States of America (USA) on August 14 and 15, 2026 in New York where well over 25 prominent Yoruba sons and daughters will be honoured at the forthcoming Yoruba Indigenes World Day 2026.
He said the Yoruba Indigenes World Day 2026 will showcase some illustrious sons and daughters of Yorubaland including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to Aderibole: The Yoruba Indigenes World Day 2026 will witness the presentation of our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 agenda to the entire world.
Approximately 35 million Yorubas are expected to join the live streaming of the event globally.
Similarly, about 5,000 Yorubas will be physically present at the event to showcase our culture to the whole world.
Igboho was very happy to be part of the Yoruba event and has promised to mobilise more Yoruba and his fans towards the event.
