Atiku donates N30m to injured supporters

CITIZENS COMPASS -THE presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has donated the sum of N30m to his supporters who were injured in an accident involving a truck in Plateau State..

He made the donation on Sunday when he visited the state in company of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, and some party chieftains.

Citizens Compass had reported that the accident claimed the lives of 16 party supporters and left 83 others injured.

The bus, which was conveying party supporters, mostly young boys from the party’s zonal rally in Pankshin Local Government Area of the state, had crashed near a bridge in Panyam community, Mangu LGA of the state.

The PDP presidential candidate also paid a condolence visit to the former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, at his Du country home in Jos.

He commended MrJang for the leadership of the PDP in Plateau and assured him, “Nobody makes sacrifices without the sacrifice being acknowledged and appreciated.”

Meanwhile, the party has suspected it’s campaign in the state to enable it mourn the departed sould..
