
Council chairman rehabilitates Baiyeku Primary Health Centre
CITIZENS COMPASS—Residents of Baiyeku in Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, will sigh a relief in the area of health as the council chairman, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun has commenced the rehabilitation of the Baiyeku Primary Health Centre.
As at Friday, HOA as fondly called has mobilised resources to the site.
Many residents and passers by have been showering praises on the council chairman.
Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Oluwaseun Ajayi, in a statement, said the project was in a bid to strengthen health care services in the area.
“As part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and improving public health infrastructure, the Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has mobilised resources for the construction of additional structures and improvement of the Baiyeku Primary Health Centre, Baiyeku. The chairman asserts that the improvement is designed to enhance the functionality and capacity of the health facility.
“Details of the improvement project shows that it is being handled by Komad Creative Enterprise and supervised by the Works and Infrastructure Department of the council. “According to Mr. Adeniyi Oladunni, the supervising engineer, the project includes the construction of a new three-bedroom office complex to improve administrative efficiency at the centre, reconstruction of environmental and Joint Task Force Office. The project is scheduled to be completed within one month.
“Chairman Aroyewun, during an assessment visit to the facility on Thursday 9 October 2025, expressed his commitment to improving the wellness of the people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA through the provision of quality primary health facilities & services and other allied services. He expressed satisfaction with the level and pace of work, commending both the contractor and supervising engineers for their professionalism.
“Our focus is on bringing healthcare closer to our people. Our people deserves quality medical services without traveling long distances, and that’s exactly what we’re delivering,”
Aroyewun stated.
“The chairman also inspected the security section of the health centre to ensure that adequate safety measures are in place for workers, patients, and facilities. He further assured that the council would maintain regular supervision until the project’s completion to guarantee quality delivery.
“The Baiyeku Primary Health Centre improvement project represents another stride in the Aroyewun-led administration’s efforts to expand access to essential services and uplift community welfare, reflecting the impact-driven focus of the GLORY Agenda.”
