A VIDEO has gone viral on the social media claiming that a yet – to – be identified dispatch rider has reportedly escaped being lynched by a mob, in Lagos, after a baby was found in his courier box.
The incident occured in Sangotedo area of Lagos, as the mob descended on the suspect who was caught with the baby.
A video of the incident shared on Twitter showed the rider being beaten by the mob as he was being dragged to a police station.
A background voice waanx heard saying, “This is the child that was abducted.”
The police are yet to speak on the incident which has set tongues wagging over the high wave of crimes and criminalities in the state.
At press time,, the circumstances surrounding the child being kept in the box could not be ascertained.
The Sangotedo axis comprising Ajah, Abijo and Lekki environs are some of the notorious areas where kidnapping happens in Lagos.
This latest incident was that of the murder of a 22-year-old fashion designer, who went missing after boarding a BRT in the area.
