Father, mother, children die while relocating abroad 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– A couple and their three children yesterday, perished while relocating abroad.

They were among the fatalities of a United Kingdom-bound aircraft from India.

The Pratik Joshi family and 195 other victims were onboard an ill-fated Air India Flight 171 when it crashed in Ahmedabad.

The flight was bound for London Gatwick.

The United Kingdom-based Pratik Joshi was a software professional who had been living in London for six years, his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas, a medical doctor from Udaipur, alongside their three young children met their untimely death shortly after the flight was airborne.

A popular X user @theskindoctor13 said Joshi had spent years working and waiting for his family’s relocation clearance and that dream finally became a reality.

He said two days before the flight, Komi resigned from her job to plan the relocation, unfortunately the tragedy occurred.

Before takeoff, the family, full of hope, took a selfie on board the plane and sent it to relatives.

“The future was within reach,” the tweet read. “But they never made it.

While earlier reports claimed there were no survivors, GWG.ng was later confirmed that one passenger, believed to be British national Vishwashkumar Ramesh, miraculously survived and is currently receiving treatment in a hospital.

The tragic story of the Joshi family has left many on social media heartbroken, with thousands expressing grief over a dream that turned into a nightmare within minutes.

The crash has become one of the deadliest aviation disasters in recent Indian history, creating an outpouring of condolences from around the world, including messages from King Charles and UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy.

As investigations continue, families of the victims are left clinging to memories like the final selfie as they grapple with unimaginable loss.
