FRSC Ogun Sector Commander pays courtesy visit to Alake of Egbaland 

 

 

CITIZENS COMPASS— The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi, on Friday, paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, CFR, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland.

The visit was held at the Ake Palace in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Accompanied by a delegation of senior officers, CC Ogunjobi was received with traditional royal honours.

During the audience, the Sector Commander Corps Commander Oludare Ogunjobi conveyed the greetings of the Corps Marshal and reaffirmed the FRSC’s dedication to reducing road traffic crashes and enhancing traffic management within the state.

The Sector Commander outlined several key areas for collaboration which included

intensified sensitisation campaigns within Egbaland communities, partnering with traditional institutions to promote voluntary compliance with traffic regulations and initiatives to safeguard vulnerable road users, including school children and the elderly.

Others were leveraging the influence of traditional rulers to encourage citizens to report traffic offences and adhere to safety rules and seeking Alake’s fatherly counsel.

In his response, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, commended the FRSC for its tireless efforts in protecting Nigerian road users. He emphasized the necessity of synergy between security agencies and traditional institutions
