
IGP felicitates with POWA on 2025 annual convention

The three day convention,scheduled to hold from July 30th to August 1st 2025, themed “Unlocking POWA Potentials and Transformational Leadership,” is poised to be a defining moment in the Association’s ongoing evolution as a catalyst for empowerment and national development, underscoring POWA’s commitment to embracing innovation, leadership, and strategic partnerships that align with modern realities and the evolving needs of police families.
The Opening Ceremony of the convention scheduled for today Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos will be graced by eminent personalities, including top government functionaries, traditional rulers, diplomatic representatives, development partners, women leaders, and senior police officers.
The 2025 Convention will feature a series of impactful events, including empowerment sessions, sport sessions, and special initiatives aimed at enhancing the mental, physical, and economic well-being of POWA members. These engagements are designed to inspire a new generation of women leaders, empowering them to build stronger families towards a more peaceful and resilient nation.
The IGP while commending the visionary leadership of the National President of POWA in steering the Association towards reformation and transformation, reaffirms the commitment of the leadership of the force to improved welfare packages for serving and retired officers of the Force.
