CITIZENS COMPASS– Some traders at the cosmetics section of the Issah Williams Street, off Breadfruit Street, in Apongbon area of Lagos on Monday, lamented the fire outbreak which gulped their shops in the afternoon saying they stocked their shops and warehouses with bank loans in readiness for the Eid-el-Fitr sales.
The traders spoke with emergency responders after the fire was put out.
Representing the victims of the inferno, Alhaja Kemi Gbajumo, Iya Oloja Hair Attachment and Cosmetics section and Baba Oja of Breadfruit Balogun market,
Prince Adewunmi Balogun, said it will be very difficult for them to recover from the losses in good time as there is no insurance coverage facilities for the traders
