In his victory message, the newly elected chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Olusesan Daini expressed pleasure at the victory.

The Chairman who was returned for his second term appreciated the electorate for their support.

“It has been an enormous honour and privilege of my life to be, once again, elected the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area. The historical significance of today’s victory is not lost on me and I remain eternally grateful to Almighty God.

“I, therefore, extend my gratitude to the good people of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, who have spoken – albeit loudly and decisively. You had the choice to choose between me and opposing candidates but you chose me! I am deeply humbled by your choice and I would not take it for granted. To my opponents, I say, well done for participating in the democratic process.

“In the course of the campaign trail, we traversed the length and breadth of our LCDA, not only to campaign but to appraise the accomplishment of our electoral promises, feel the pulse of our people and take note of their respective yearnings. This has emboldened our vision, cleared our convictions and made our *Mission For A New Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA* very audacious. And God’s willing, we will do more than we promised.

“Despite our record breaking accomplishments of the last four years and the goodwill of our people we enjoyed, we left no stone unturned in our electioneering campaigns that cumulated in today’s victory – all to God’s glory! Therefore, I must specially thank the Executive Governor of our dear state, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his visionary leadership, the LGA and Wards Executives of our party APC, who owed and took over the campaign proper which resulted in today’s overwhelming victory at the polls. We also appreciate the immense efforts of our Apex party leaders and members for supporting my candidature to serve a second term in office. On behalf of the Councillors-elect of our party, I appreciate traditional institutions, community leaders, CDCs/CDAs, religious bodies, non-yoruba speaking tribes within the LCDA, youth groups, market men and women for their unwavering supports. My profound gratitude to all staff of the LCDA for the administrative support of the last four years. Finally, I appreciate all team members of Daini Campaign Organisation (DACO) for countless days and nights of rigorous campaign activities online and offline.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is not just a victory speech but another opportunity to reiterate our commitment to serving you better for another four years by consolidating on the achievements of the last four years.”
