CITIZENS COMPASS- TWO candidates on Saturday, emerged as factional presidents of the National Association of Nigerian Students after two separate elections in Abuja and one other location in Nigeria.

The candidates are Umar Lawal of the Department of Library and Information Science of the Bayero University, Kano and Usman Umar of the Federal University, Dutse. Jigawa State.

Controversies had rocked the student body following internal tussles which had led to the postponement of the elections which were earlier slated for last Saturday.

Despite moves for reconciliations, elections were held in two different locations which led to the emergence of two factional presidents.

However, the student body has called for an emergency press briefing to intimate the public with the recent happenings.
