CITIZENS COMPASS– PROPERTY worths Millions of Naira were destroyed on Wednesday, as fire gutted a section of a shopping mall located on Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The Coordinator, Lagos Territorial District, National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye who confirmed the incident to Citizens Compass said the inferno started in the early hours in one of the shops.
He said the inferno afected where combustible items such as tyres and car batteries were stored.
He said the fire was successfully battled and there was no loss of life.
The fire outbreak occured at a shopping centre but it has been handled by Federal and state fire services.”
He said.
