So-Safe apprehends suspected kidnappers on way to Benin Republic

...nabs father, son, for alleged theft

 

CITIZENS COMPASS– THE operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) have apprehended two suspects while attempting to cross the border with two abducted victims.

The suspects, Moye Kazeem 25, and Moye Kokuyi 20, were apprehended on Monday, 20th. February, 2023 at about 0245hrs while escaping through the Republic of Benin Boarder.

A press statement from the Office of the State Commander of the agency, Soji Ganzallo through its Director of Information and Public Relations, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf said that the Special Patrol team of the agency on routine patrol led by the Idiroko Divisional Officer, CSC Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq said the suspects’ movement were suspicious and he stopped them for questioning but both failed in their responses.

One of the abductees, Okechukwu Felicia, 16, resident of Ajuwon Akute in Ifo Local Government Area who was interrogated as well could not establish the true position of the suspects.

Ganzallo said,

preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had been declared wanted for a similar offense having been arrested by Akute Ajuwon Divisional Police Headquarter.

He said the suspects were apprehended at Iyana-Ago trying to cross to the Republic of Benin.

The operatives also impounded a Bajaj motorcycle which was handed over to the Ajuwon Divisional Headquarters through Inspectors Sunday Abah and Sami Loris.

In a related development, So-Safe Corps also apprehended a father and son for allegedly stealing from a farm belonging to the late Alh Moruf Kaka at Ihunbo in Ipokia Local Government Area in the State.
